Richard Scott “Dick” Gottmann, age 66, a resident of North Land O’ Lakes, formerly of Cincinnati, OH, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 in Land O’ Lakes, WI. He was born March 29, 1950 in Chicago, IL to parents Frederick and Phyllis Gottmann. Dick vacationed in Land O’ Lakes since early childhood. When he was old enough, he worked at the family businesses during the summer. He moved there permanently in 2002. He graduated from Northwood University in 1974. He was an avid Packers, Reds, and Xavier fan. He served on the Board of the Moon Lake Riparian Association. Above all he loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. Dick was preceded in death by his father: Fred, and brother: Bill Gottmann. He is survived by his wife: Mardi Gottmann of Eagle River, WI; children: Colette (Rich) Mahlerwein of Three Lakes, WI, Paul Gottmann of Cincinnati, OH; mother: Phyllis (Nee: Dickman) Gottmann of Land O’ Lakes, WI; sister: Corey (Gregg) Short of Parker, AZ; sister-in-law: Beth Gottmann of Round Lake Beach, IL; granddaughters: Evey and Maddie Mahlerwein; and numerous other family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Ely Memorial UCC in Land O’ Lakes, WI. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Moon Lake Riparian Association or Ely Memorial UCC in Land O’ Lakes are appreciated by the family.
