The Wheelers captured the photograph of the sunset in the picture below on the evening of September 11. The fires burning north of Ely, Minnesota caused the conditions to make this unique picture.
Change in Weather Data Posting
The chart for weather data in the “Weather” tab has changed effective September 1, 2011. Only High and Low Temps, Maximum Wind Speed, and Precipitation will be listed. It has been a real pain to record all the weather data every day. We now have a data logger and software so that we can have the parameters listed above recorded and saved so that they can be entered at a later date. This allows the data to be captured when the weather man is out of town, or in cases where he just forgot. We will continue to investigate to see if the rest of the parameters (Wind Chill, Barometric Pressure, and Humidity) can be automatically recorded.
We are also going to be working on getting real time weather conditions posted on the website. The target date for completion is before the first of the year.
Water Quality has been updated with recent readings.
